My Top 100 Movies (in no particular order)

11/100: The Princess Bride

I mean come on, how could I not?  This movie is just straight awesome quotes, the entire thing is so wonderful, a perfect blend of comedy and action and an awesome love story.  I would quote this movie in my sleep and in fact I am planning on making an awesome picture that says “As You Wish” with a silhouette of Buttercup and Westly, and it is going to be amazing!

That day, she was amazed to discover that when he was saying “As you wish”, what he meant was, “I love you.” And even more amazing was the day she realized she truly loved him back.

When the Ghost Of Christmas Present (Carol Kane) grabbed Bill Murray’s lip she tore his lip so badly that filming was halted for several days.

"Death can not stop true love. All it can do is delay it for a while."

The Princess Bride (1987)

The movie has an incredible life from generation to generation. People have told me they’ve named their kids Westley and Buttercup, that they were married dressed as Westley and Buttercup. I met a girl just a few weeks ago who has “As You Wish” tattooed on her neck.

"I am going to be like everyone else! I’m going to make friends! I’m going to have fun! I’m going to wear make up! I’m going to go out with boys! I’m going to sleep with truck drivers and get crabs! And I am finally going to use my diaphragm!!!!"

Has it got any sports in it?
Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles…
Doesn’t sound too bad. I’ll try to stay awake.
